DAY 1: TRANSFER IN – CITY TOUR

Day 1: Traslado del aeropuerto hacia el hotel en Ollantaytambo

  • Dia de aclimatación.
  • Día libre para conocer el increíble pueblo de Ollantaytambo, comprar souvenirs.

Day 2: Pisac all day hike

  • Start: Pickup from hotel in Cusco and drive to Pisac Archaeological Park.
  • Scenic stops: Visit viewpoints and a llama & alpaca farm.
  • Pisac exploration: Guided tour of all notable sites in the park.
  • Inca Trail hike: Walk along a section of the Inca Trail towards Pisac market.
  • Agricultural terraces & waterfall: Learn about Incan farming techniques in a «living museum.»
  • Pisac town: Try local empanadas and enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by a personal cook.
  • Included: Lunch.
  • End: Return to lodge.

Day 3: Sacred Valley

  • Start: 7:00 AM in Cusco.
  • Itinerary:
    • Ollantaytambo: Tour of the archaeological site (option to stay here).
    • Moray: Incan circular terraces, history, and photo opportunities.
    • Maras: Incan salt mines.
    • Urubamba: Lunch (Not included).

Day 4: Urquillos Inca Trail - Chinchero

  • Start: Private transfer to Chinchero after breakfast.
  • Urquillos Inca Trail: Connecting mountain villages with the Sacred Valley.
  • Hike begins: From Chinchero (12,303 ft), visiting Inca ruins and a 17th-century church.
  • Descent: Trail down to Urquillos town (9,514 ft).
  • Lunch: Picnic halfway through the hike.
  • Cultural experience: Learning about Andean textiles, llamas, alpacas, and natural dyeing techniques.
  • End: Private transport back to the lodge.
  • Included: Breakfast and picnic lunch.

Day 5: Inca Trail 2 Days

  • Pickup: 4:00 a.m. at the hotel in Cusco with the guide.
  • Transport: Private bus to Ollantaytambo (1.5 hours) and train to Km 104, the starting point of the hike.
  • Hike: Begin the 2-day Inca Trail, visiting archaeological sites like Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna.
  • Scenery: Enjoy views of the Urubamba River and orchids.
  • Wiñayhuayna: Stop for a break and box lunch.
  • Inti Punku: Pass through the Sun Gate to enjoy the sunset with fewer tourists.
  • Machu Picchu: Walk 45 minutes to the citadel, then take a bus to Aguas Calientes.
  • Dinner: Coordination and planning for the guided tour the next day.

Day 6: Machu Picchu

  • Early Pickup: We will pick you up from your hotel.
  • Trip to Ollantaytambo: 1.5-hour journey in private transport to the train station.
  • Train Ride: 1 hour and 50 minutes from Ollantaytambo through the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes.
  • Arrival in Aguas Calientes: Meet with the tour guide or representative and take a 25-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu.
  • Machu Picchu Tour: 2 to 3-hour guided visit to the historical sanctuary, exploring its Incan architecture and engineering.
  • Return to Aguas Calientes: Bus ride back with free time for lunch (Lunch not included).
  • Train Return: Travel back to Ollantaytambo, where a representative will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco or the Sacred Valley.

Day 7: Free day or city tour

  • Relaxing day after Machu Picchu and the all activities we have done.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • 1.5 liters of water: Stay hydrated during the hike.
  • Personal snacks: Extra energy bars if you need frequent snacks.
  • Pillow for van ride: Leave it in the van during the hike.
  • Trekking shoes: Essential for the dusty and slippery path.
  • Waterproof pants (optional): Only for the rainy season (Dec-Mar).
  • Extra clothes (optional): For rainy season to stay dry.
  • Sunscreen lip protector: Protect lips from dryness.
  • Warm jacket: To stay warm, as it’s usually cold.
  • Rain jacket: For unexpected rain, even during dry seasons.
  • Long sleeve t-shirt: Protect from sunburn; apply sunscreen if wearing short sleeves.
  • Wool hat: It’s cold at Rainbow Mountain, even in summer.
  • Trekking pants: Suggested for hiking, but any suitable pants work.

  • Sunscreen: Both sun and cold can burn, so apply regularly.
