Pickup:
4:00 a.m. at the hotel in Cusco with the guide.
Transport:
Private bus to Ollantaytambo (1.5 hours) and train to Km 104, the starting point of the hike.
Hike:
Begin the 2-day Inca Trail, visiting archaeological sites like Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna.
Scenery:
Enjoy views of the Urubamba River and orchids.
Wiñayhuayna:
Stop for a break and box lunch.
Inti Punku:
Pass through the Sun Gate to enjoy the sunset with fewer tourists.
Machu Picchu:
Walk 45 minutes to the citadel, then take a bus to Aguas Calientes.
Dinner:
Coordination and planning for the guided tour the next day.
