Day 1: Cusco – Abra Málaga – Santa María

  • Departure at 6:00 am in private transport.
  • Downhill biking (3 hours) from Abra Málaga (4,300 masl) to Santa María.
  • Lunch and accommodation at a guesthouse.
  • Optional: Rafting in the Vilcanota River (1.5 hours, Class III and IV).
  • Night: Guesthouse in Santa María.

Day 2: Santa María – Hot Springs – Santa Teresa

  • Early breakfast (6:30 am) and trekking through Inca trails toward Santa Teresa.
  • Stops to learn about local flora, fauna, and culture.
  • Visit a local family house for relaxation and enjoy tropical fruits.
  • Walk along a section of the Inca Trail with historical explanations.
  • Night: Hostel in Santa Teresa.

Day 3: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes

  • Optional: Canopy (zip line) in Santa Teresa.
  • 2.5-hour hike through coca, coffee, and tropical fruit plantations.
  • Lunch at Hidroeléctrica, followed by a 2-hour walk along the railway to Aguas Calientes.
  • Night: Hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco

  • Early breakfast (around 5:00 am) and 1-hour hike to Machu Picchu.
  • Guided tour (2 hours) through the main temples and Inca palaces.
  • Free time to explore or climb Huayna Picchu (optional, additional cost).
  • Descent to Aguas Calientes to take the train to Ollantaytambo and return by car to Cusco (arrival around 8:00 pm).
  • End of services.
