Enter the Red Mountain Valley, surrounded by vivid landscapes and llamas. Lunch at the Rainbow Mountain 2-day campsite. Afternoon: Climb Warmi Saya Pass (4,500m) for a distant view of Rainbow Mountain. Descend past the lake and continue to the campsite. If weather allows, hike to Rainbow Mountain for sunset. DAY 4: QUEULLA QOCHA – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – RED VALLEY – CUSCO Day 4: Queulla Qocha – Rainbow Mountain – Red Valley – Cusco 06:00 am: Wake up with coca tea, then hike 45 min to Rainbow Mountain (5,040m). Explore & take pictures (30 min – 1 hour, depending on weather & pace). Hike 30 min to Red Valley, then head to the bus station. Return to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 03:00 pm. Visit to the archaeological sites of Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca to learn more about the Inca civilization. Lunch along the trail before continuing to Wiñaywayna. Overnight camping at Wiñaywayna, the final night on the Inca Trail. Farewell dinner with the porters, celebrating achievements and their support throughout the journey. Day 4: Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu – Cusco Day 4: Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu – Cusco Early breakfast to begin the final stretch of the Inca Trail. Hike to Inti Punku («Sun Gate»), the traditional entrance with a panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Time for photos and enjoying the breathtaking view of the citadel. Descent to Machu Picchu to check in and take a 2-hour guided tour. Exploration of the historic sanctuary to learn about its history, architecture, and cultural significance.
